Why B. Eclectic Magazine? I was exhausted from trying to prove my worth to those who refused to progress. A dear friend reminded me that those who construct barriers cling to antiquated ideals and are bound to become irrelevant. It was not worth my time or energy to be among “them.” It was time to circumvent the system to create my own space. Those lacking foresight will remain confined to the prisons they've unwittingly built for themselves.
With that being said, B. Eclectic may be rooted in San Antonio, but it's not limited to San Antonio.
B. Eclectic is curated on a broader scale for those who embrace diversity with open minds and progressive ideas. It is time for those individuals to BE BOLD. BE SEEN. BE ECLECTIC.
BURNING BRIDGES.
The phrase "burning bridges" typically carries a negative connotation, implying the severing of connections in a way that is potentially detrimental.
I have a different perspective.
It’s beneficial to let go of relationships and connections that no longer serve you. Because, if we’re honest, it is about YOU. If you have toxic friendships or professional ties that are diming your light, it's time to say ‘buh-bye’! Recognize when a relationship has run its course, and then consciously choose to burn THAT bridge. This is an ultimate act of self-care.
Prioritize your boundaries, make intentional choices about who you allow into your life, be purposeful with the kind of energy you surround yourself with. Have the courage to walk away from relationships lacking positive contributions. This is a powerful act of self-assertion and growth. Your success and mental health depends on it.
Burn the bridge, distance yourself, you’ll be fine. In fact, you’ll thrive.
